Nextar: Bold & New

No one has ever accused Eddy Zheng, Nextar™ founder and President, of being quiet and subtle. Rather he has always striven for Bold & New. Mr. Zheng’s efforts with respect to Nextar have been no different. Nextar in the categories it chooses to enter, the products that it develops and in the manner in which it goes to market desires and strives to be nothing short of Bold & New! Bold- the categories, products and retail avenues that are the most salient and relevant of the day. New – utilizing the newest technologies in dynamic, salient, relevant and yet affordable products and placing these products in the highest volume traditional and, as or more importantly, non-traditional consumer electronic retail.

Nextar currently focuses its energies on three principal categories:
- Portable Personal Audio & Video: MP3 & MP4 Products

- Digital Photo Frames: Ranging from 1.5” keychain photo viewers to resin figurines with 1.8” panels to 7” tabletop digital photo frames and finally to 15” wall-mounted frames.

- Navigation: 3.5” to 7” GPS units with various feature sets and (TTS, Bluetooth, Tracking, Built-In rear view camera and radar detectors) and accompanying accessories.

And a fourth new emerging category:

- Bluetooth Technologies: Applying Bluetooth wireless technology to a host of items including but not limited to; Computer Game Rockers, Inflatable Pool Chairs, Shower and Wireless Speaker Systems, etc…

Each of these categories and the products encompassed therein are amongst the hottest product categories and most mass market relevant that consumer electronics or, for that matter, general retail has seen for years!

Nextar has also not been confined by traditional thinking in terms of how it has taken its products to market. Rather than focus its energies solely on the expected and usual retail entities that comprise Consumer Electronics retail, Nextar aimed its efforts in other avenues such as department stores, mass merchants, food & drug, do it yourself and others. In doing so, Nextar hoped to and, we believe, has been successful in addressing large and significant demographic and market groups to whom affordable and relevant electronic products had not previously been available. Nextar has delighted in selling an affordable but quality GPS unit to a soccer parent in a food & drug environment as opposed to a high-end and expensive piece to a new gadget technophile.

Simply stated, Nextar, the company, its categories and products and finally its marketing strategies can be summed up in the following four terms:
