Frequently Asked Questions on Car Stereos


Q: If my unit is defective what do I do?

A: Make sure your product is registered then contact Technical Support at 888-849-0846, if the problem cannot be resolved instructions as well as a Return Authorization will be issued for your defective product. No product will be accepted without prior authorization.

Q: Why doesn't the car stereo have power?

A: Check for the following:
1. Clean the CD before loading into unit.
2. If the power supply is properly connected to the car stereo, switch the ignition key to "ON" or "ACC". This should give power to the stereo unit.
3. The fuse maybe blown. Replace with new fuse according to the wiring diagram. This should be done by a professional (car stereo) installer.

Q: Why won?t the stereo load the CD?

A: The stereo may not recognize the CD. Try to eject the CD and load it again into the player.

Q: Why do the CD?s only load halfway into the CD unit?

A: The transportation security screws may not have been removed. Remove the transport screws to resolve this problem.

Q: Why doesn?t the stereo work properly (Eject, Load or Play)?

A: Reasons below may hinder the proper working of the stereo:
1. The disc may have been loaded improperly. Make sure the disc is in the correct position before loading into the stereo unit.
2. If the CD is dirty or warped in any way the stereo may not be able to read it. Try to clean the CD before loading into unit.
3. If the stereo is in high temperatures it may not be able to play the CD. Try to cool down the inside of the vehicle (turn on AC or roll down windows) so the unit may cool. After a few minutes the CD should be able to play. If not, wait a few more minutes.

Q: There?s no sound coming from the unit. Why?

A: Make Sure:
1. The volume control could be set too low. Try to raise the volume.
2. The device may not have been correctly installed. Check the power wire connection. This should be done by a professional installer.

Q: Why is the volume too low to hear?

A: Please check if you have connected the video cables correctly.

Q: Why is there no radio reception?

A: The antenna cable may not be properly connected. Insert the antenna cable firmly into the antenna socket. This should be done by a professional installer.
