Press Release
| New Challenge (Last updated on 9/4/2007) |
Those involved in consumer electronics are well aware of just how hot the market for digital photo frames is and just how many shipping and supply issues there were with such products. Nextar experienced its fair share of such difficulties and as a company is adopting new strategies to avoid these difficulties in 2008. Specifically, the Nextar sales staff will be asking its customers to one project as early as possible product needs for the entire year, and two to diversify and spread their volume out across screen sizes and formats.
Nextar will be showing a variety of screen sizes ranging from 1.1 to 1.8 key chain, to 1.8 photo viewers, to 1.8 to 3.5 figurine and three dimensional pieces to 3.0 to 15 tabletop and wall mounted units. Frame types will range from resin figurines and molded pieces to interchangeable plastic to pewter metal frames in addition to the traditional wood frames. Nextar is also very excited to be debuting a family of collage frames in various materials, and feature sets including traditional photo frames, mirrors, thermometers, clocks, etc

Bottom-line, the market for digital photo frames is all about price and aesthetics. The consumer doesnt want a 7 or 8 Digital Picture Frame - they want a frame that looks good! explains Vice President Joe Greenfeld. Mr. Greenfeld further added in regard to Nextars 2008 line-up Our frames look good no great!
